Emily
Emily is quite the cutie. She is wearing one of our new designer baby dresses from Strasburg Children. We found this delightful store in Branson, Mo recently. We fell in love with their beautiful children's clothes. We have a selection of their clothing for our clients to wear if they choose. Emily was first model and did a magnificent job don't you think?

Kenny - Shawnee Heights High School
A couple of images from Kenny's sessions. The first image "city lights" that has been "tweeked" a bit to emphasize the lights in the background. The second image is from his "urban" session. Today we have the gift of being able to make images that we have always wanted to make but couldn't before now realize the total potential of the image.

They Are Testing Their Wings
My window buddies, I think, are about ready to fly! It seems as though the nest is getting a little tight for them and they have been "testing" their wings a lot today! Moma bird isn't coming around as much, just once in awhile papa finch about the same. The feedings are much less frequent today so.... not being a bird expert I have to figure it is all part of the getting ready to fly process. This has been a real gift to be able to watch this whole process from so close!

Baby Finches!
As a follow-up to my previous post. I'm a finch daddy! It has been a lot of fun the last couple of weeks watching the finch family hatch their new family. Mrs. Finch doesn't leave her nest very often (seems only when the mail person comes) so I gotta be quick with the camera. Actually since I got this shot another egg has hatched.
They sit on my window sill about two feet from where I work @ my computer. Sometimes I think I see Mrs. Finch watching me thru the blind slat but for some reason I don't seem to bother her. Fun, Fun Fun!

Finch In The Window
As many of you know, I do a lot of the image processing in our home office. So, I'm sitting at my computer this morning with the windows open so the nice cool spring air can flow in when first I see a male finch sit on my window sill and I think "this is going to be a really great day what a cute little red bird". A little time goes by and then the female finch comes along and I think double wow! A pair of finches. A little more time goes by and they bring back one single twig and leave it in the window. I say oh oh! They then start regularly bringing more twigs. So I think hmmmm... I can't have them building a nest here in this window cause I may want to close it. So the next time the birds leave I close the window and then the momma finch comes back carrying a little twig and is frantically trying to find a way in to "her nest". All I see is this cute little momma finch with a twig in her mouth "hoovering" outside my window, looking me right in the eye, looking lost ! I opened the window again! I think I know what comes next! Tom
PS I just looked up on the internet that finch gestation is 7-11 days. It is about the shortest of any of the birds. hmmmm how long till they can fly?

New York / Brooklyn
Diane & I just got back from visiting family in Brooklyn. Every time that we go and experience "The City" it causes a paradigm shift to occur in the way we see the world and our photography. This trip I really tried to concentrate on getting some images to be displayed in our new expanded studio space.
The first image of the "Wallet Found" was taken right outside of a flea market looking towards a church in the middle of Brooklyn. Obviously the person that found the wallet is a very resourceful person, first of all they used a "found" scrap of paper to write the notice on then to attach it to the tree, if you look closely, a "bobby pin" to tack it to the tree. Once you get away from the "touristy" parts of New York you will find some of the most honest, nice and helpful people that you will ever find anywhere in the world.
The second image of the "New York Water Taxi" was taken from a pier in the "Red Hook" neighborhood in Brooklyn.
