Sydney

Here is an image that I have been working on today. Sydney is a long distance runner and will be a senior next year @ Seaman HS. This is an example of our new "expressions" series of images for this years seniors.

Tiffany

Tiffany will be a senior this Fall @ Shawnee Heights. She is very involved in acting so these images were created for her @ Topeka Civic Theatre.

Just Playing

Up early today just playing with some new ideas.

Going to Kansas City today with two high school soon to be seniors. We have a senior session called the "Kansas City" session. I always look forward to that session because I get to spend the whole day with them doing some really creative stuff going all over Kansas City. I have been working on some new techniques for "night shots" can't wait to try them out with the Plaza Lights in the background!

Back From School

Just got back from the Ks. Prof. Photog. School @ Bethel College in Newton, KS. This year I had the opportunity to study with Darton Drake (www.dartondrake.com), one of the greatest portrait photographers alive in the country today. This image was taken right after lunch on the last day of class. Darton is a real "Doors" (Jim Morrison) fan so a couple of the other students "made" him a shirt for the last day of class.

His passion and creativity and attention to composition of creating an image was truly inspirational.

Diane also attended the school but she divided her studies to two instructors. The first part of the week she studied with Michael and Kathleen Bishop on creative children's photography. She got some outstanding new ideas from them! Then for the second half of the week she studied with Susan Treft, background creation. We now have three beautiful new muslin backgrounds to use!
