They Are Testing Their Wings

My window buddies, I think, are about ready to fly! It seems as though the nest is getting a little tight for them and they have been "testing" their wings a lot today! Moma bird isn't coming around as much, just once in awhile papa finch about the same. The feedings are much less frequent today so.... not being a bird expert I have to figure it is all part of the getting ready to fly process. This has been a real gift to be able to watch this whole process from so close!

Cherry tree in Brooklyn

On our recent trip to visit our son who lives in the Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn, this beautiful cherry tree captured our eye. What a gift to the senses!
